 Positive Parenting provides
parent education classes, parenting workshops, in service presentations and
consultation to parents, early childhood education centers, schools,
churches, businesses and others who provide services for parents and
children.

About Positive Parenting
|
|
Positive Parenting began
as a result of a vision I had to do work that I love, that makes a difference
in the world and that allowed me to spend time raising my kids. Within one month of that vision,
the precursors to Positive Parenting began to fall in place. I was asked to teach parenting
class for a local non-profit organization for whom I had been a
volunteer. After a year of
that a principal of a school offered to pay my way to become trained in “Redirecting
Children’s Behavior” in exchange for teaching at his school. In July of 1994 I opened for
business as a sole-proprietor of Positive Parenting.
I have been teaching
parenting classes for more than 14 years. A partial list of the
institutions include: Emilie Ritchen Elementary School, La Mariposa Elementary
School, Cabrillo Middle School, County of Ventura, Pleasant Valley Park and Recreation District, United Methodist Child Development Center, Ventura Unified School District, Conejo Valley Park and Recreation District, California State Foster Parents
Association, California Mothers of Multiples, Casa Pacifica and Ventura
College Community Services.
